Minoxidil half-life
Minoxidil is a prescription vasodilator (a potassium-channel opener), and its blood plasma half-life is about 4.2 hours, so most of a single oral dose clears the bloodstream within roughly a day. Because that clearance is fairly quick, the tablet is usually taken once or twice a day, and it does not build up to a large long-term reservoir in the blood.
